Affiliate and commission disclosure
Norwich Garage Doors is an independent introductory service. It is funded by commission: when you submit a quote enquiry through the Bark.com form on this site and it results in an introduction, we may be paid a fee or commission by Bark.com. This costs you nothing and does not affect the quotes you receive. The commission arrangement does not influence the advice published on this site, and we do not recommend or endorse any individual installer.
What happens to your enquiry
The quote form on this site is provided by our quote partner Bark.com. When you complete it, the details you enter (name, contact details, postcode and job description) go directly to Bark, who share them with rated local garage door professionals so they can contact you with quotes. This happens under Bark’s own privacy policy, and Bark is the controller of that enquiry data. We never see or store your enquiry details ourselves.
For the enquiry itself, your details are handled by Bark and by the professionals who respond to your request. Enquiries made through this site are processed in a customer-relationship management (CRM) system provided by GoHighLevel, used by the quote network to route your request and manage follow-up. You can ask Bark to delete your enquiry at any time via their privacy policy.
What data is collected, and why
- Quote enquiry data (name, email, phone number, postcode, job description, and any photos you attach) — collected by Bark.com when you complete the form, to obtain quotes from local professionals. Lawful basis: Bark’s legitimate interest in connecting you with professionals, and consent where Bark asks for marketing permissions.
- Call handling data — if you call the number on this site, calls may be answered by an automated assistant and basic call details (number, time, nature of enquiry) may be logged to route and follow up the enquiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in handling enquiries efficiently. You will be told at the start of any recorded call.
- Site measurement data — cookieless, aggregate analytics (pages viewed, buttons tapped) and session-tracking parameters described below. This collects no personally identifying data.
- Email correspondence — if you email us, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to answer it.
UTM and session tracking
This site runs a small tracking script that reads campaign parameters from the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), stores them in your browser’s sessionStorage, and — if you open the quote form — attaches them, along with the referring page and landing page, to your enquiry so the quote network can attribute it correctly. This uses no cookies and no cross-site tracking, so no consent banner is required. You can prevent it by browsing in private mode or clearing your session storage.
Third parties
- Bark.com — provider of the quote form and the introduction service; controller of your enquiry data.
- GoHighLevel — CRM platform used by the quote network to route enquiries and follow-ups.
- Rated local garage door professionals — receive your enquiry details from Bark in order to quote.
- Our hosting provider — processes technical request data (IP address, user agent) as necessary to serve the site.
We never sell your personal data to anyone other than through the Bark introduction described above.
How long we keep data
We hold no enquiry data on this site, so there is nothing of yours for us to retain or delete. Bark’s and the quote network’s own retention periods apply to the enquiry you submit. Aggregate, anonymous measurement data is not personal data and may be kept indefinitely. Email correspondence is deleted when it is no longer needed, normally within 24 months.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to be informed, to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. For the enquiry you submit through the Bark form, exercise these rights directly with Bark. For anything about this site or the tracking described here, email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
Complaining to the ICO
If you are unhappy with how your personal data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first — email [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If how we handle data changes, this policy will be updated before the change goes live and the date at the top will change.
